How we handle your information & what you should know
Last updated: December 2024
Look, we get it - nobody really enjoys reading privacy policies. But here's the thing: we actually care about your data and want you to understand what happens with it when you work with us or just browse around our site.
At Dareth Ralquinth Architecture, we're not some faceless corporation. We're a design studio based in Toronto, and we treat your information the same way we'd want ours treated - with respect and transparency. No hidden agendas, no selling your email to random companies, just straightforward practices.
When you reach out to us or fill out a contact form, we'll collect basic stuff like your name, email address, phone number, and whatever details you share about your project. If you're visiting our site, we also track some technical bits like your IP address and browser type - pretty standard web stuff that helps us keep things running smoothly.
For actual clients, we'll obviously need more info as we work together - project requirements, site details, budget ranges, and all that jazz. But we only ask for what's necessary to do our job right. We're not trying to build some creepy database about you.
Here's the deal - we use your info to actually communicate with you and provide our services. Shocking, right? If you've sent us a project inquiry, we'll use your contact details to respond and discuss your needs. For clients, we use your information throughout the design process, project management, and all the necessary coordination.
We might also send occasional updates about our work or relevant industry insights if you've opted in, but you can bail on those anytime. We're not gonna spam you with daily newsletters or anything annoying like that.
Sometimes we need to share info with contractors, engineers, or other professionals involved in your project - but only the relevant stuff they need to know. It's all part of getting your building designed and built properly.
Yeah, we use cookies. Not the chocolate chip kind unfortunately. These little data files help our website remember your preferences and track how visitors interact with our site. It's useful for understanding what content people actually care about and improving the overall experience.
We use Google Analytics to see general traffic patterns - like which pages get the most views or where people are coming from. It's aggregated data though, so we're not tracking individuals or being weird about it.
Most browsers let you control or disable cookies if that's your thing. Just know that some features might not work as smoothly without them.
We take security seriously. Our website uses SSL encryption (that's the little padlock you see in your browser), and we store client data on secure servers with proper access controls. Only team members who actually need access to your information get it.
That said, no system is 100% bulletproof. We do our best with industry-standard security measures, but we can't guarantee absolute security. If there's ever a breach that affects your data, we'll let you know ASAP and tell you what happened.
We also don't keep your data longer than necessary. Once a project's wrapped up and the retention period's over, we properly dispose of information we no longer need.
Sometimes we work with third-party services to run our business - stuff like email providers, cloud storage, or project management tools. These companies have access to certain data but only to perform their specific services, and they're contractually obligated to keep it confidential.
Our site might also link to external websites occasionally. Once you click through to another site, their privacy policy takes over - we're not responsible for their practices. Always a good idea to check out what those sites are doing with your data too.
You've got rights when it comes to your personal data. Under Canadian privacy laws (we're based in Toronto, remember), you can request to see what information we have about you, ask us to correct it if something's wrong, or request deletion in certain circumstances.
Want to opt out of marketing emails? There's an unsubscribe link in every message we send. Want to know what data we've collected? Just ask. Want us to delete your info? We'll do it unless we've got a legitimate reason to keep it (like legal requirements or active project work).
To exercise any of these rights, just shoot us an email at studio@darethralquinth.info or give us a call at (416) 555-0147. We'll get back to you within a reasonable timeframe - usually within 30 days.
Our services aren't directed at kids under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you're a parent and think your child has shared info with us, let us know and we'll delete it. Architecture projects are usually an adult thing anyway, but just covering our bases here.
We might update this privacy policy from time to time as our business evolves or laws change. When we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top and maybe send out a notification if it's something major.
It's worth checking back occasionally to see if anything's changed. By continuing to use our services after updates are posted, you're basically saying you're cool with the new terms.
If something in this policy isn't clear or you've got questions about how we handle your data, don't hesitate to reach out. We're real people and we're happy to explain things in more detail.

Thanks for taking the time to actually read through this. We know it's not exactly thrilling content, but transparency matters to us. At the end of the day, we're in the business of creating spaces people love, and that starts with building trust. If you've made it this far, you probably care about privacy as much as we do.
Ready to talk about your project? Get in touch with us - we promise to handle your information with the same care we put into our designs.
